Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Tulsa is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead the respiratory therapy department, provide clinical leadership, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure high-quality, compliant patient care.

The role includes overseeing operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and active participation in Wean Team rounds with pulmonary physicians, while maintaining patient-centered care and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Current State License.
• Active RRT credential from NBRC.
• Proof of graduation (transcript/diploma or GED).
• BLS certification by start date.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the respiratory therapy department.
• Recruitment and retention responsibilities.
• Implement standards of care, policies and procedures.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met for respiratory and point of care.
• Create and maintain clinical schedule for safe staffing.
• Maintain clinical cost control.
• Coordinate Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds; liaise with physicians for weaning from ventilation.
• Promote staff development and continuous quality improvement.
• Educate patients and families; maintain competency in Rapid Response and code events.
• Function as Lab Manager for point-of-care testing and Safety Officer.
