Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville West in Nashville, TN is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead the respiratory therapy department, ensure high-quality patient care, and drive clinical excellence. The role oversees operations, staffing, and compliance, coordinates Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds with pulmonologists, and mentors staff.

Required: current state license, NBRC RRT, BLS; ACLS within 6 months; associate degree in respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• Current state license required.
• Active NBRC-credentialed RRT required.
• Proof of graduation (degree or diploma) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the respiratory therapy department.
• Provide consultation on pulmonary disorders and therapy practice.
• Educate patients, families and staff on respiratory care.
• Coordinate with Chief Nursing Officer to meet standards and compliance.
• Maintain staffing schedules and control departmental costs.
• Lead Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds and communicate with pulmonary physicians.
• Maintain competency in Rapid Response and code events.
• Function as Moderate Complexity Lab Manager over point-of-care testing.
