Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead the department, provide clinical oversight, and collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will drive education for patients, families, and staff, manage staffing and costs, and coordinate weaning from mechanical ventilation with pulmonary physicians as protocols exist or are developed.

Qualifications

• Current State License.
• Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification required by start date.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the respiratory therapy department and manage staff interviews, orientation, evaluations and development.
• Coordinate engagement, recruitment and retention efforts for the team.
• Implement and enforce company standards of care, policies and procedures.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met for respiratory care and point‑of‑care testing.
• Create and maintain a safe, compliant clinical schedule.
