Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead the respiratory therapy department, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide education to patients, families, and staff. You will collaborate with the CNO to uphold care standards and drive clinical excellence.

The role requires active RRT credentials, BLS/ACLS, and supervisory experience, with extensive onboarding, generous PTO, and health plans for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Current State License.
• Active RRT credential from NBRC required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the respiratory therapy department.
• Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, training and development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and standards of care.
• Coordinate Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds and liaise with pulmonary physicians.
• Maintain staffing schedules and control clinical costs.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Site-Dependent: function as Moderate Complexity Lab Manager and Safety Officer.
• Foster staff development and continuous quality improvement.
