Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist Lead for the Day Shift at our East Valley Campus. This 0.9 FTE leadership role combines bedside care with operational leadership, staffing coordination, and staff development.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years in critical care RT and leadership experience, with pediatric/NICU experience preferred. Training at the Thomas Campus occurs until the East Valley facility opens in early 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of critical care Respiratory Therapy experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a Lead role, precepting, or committees.
• Pediatric and/or NICU experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operational activities and staffing planning.
• Lead huddles and support RTs during complex, high-acuity situations.
• Troubleshoot clinical and equipment needs; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff while maintaining patient care and documentation.
• Manage staffing and productivity to meet operational needs.
