Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist for the night shift at our Gilbert location. This 0.9 FTE leadership role combines hands-on bedside care with team operations, staffing coordination, and staff development.

The successful candidate will bring a minimum of three years in critical care RT, current NBRC RRT, AZ license, BLS, and preferably pediatric or NICU experience. PALS is required or obtained within nine months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of critical care Respiratory Therapy experience.
• Leadership experience through a Lead role, precepting or related responsibilities.
• Pediatric and/or NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operational activities and staffing for the shift.
• Lead huddles, support RTs during complex cases, and coordinate staffing decisions.
• Ensure safe patient care, documentation, and adherence to policies.
• Mentor and develop staff, promote safety and quality improvement.
