Qualifications

• RRT credential
• Current North Carolina Respiratory Care License (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
• Master's degree from an accredited institution OR bachelor's degree with commitment to complete a master's degree within 2 years
• Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience, including at least 2 years in clinical practice
• Minimum 2 years of teaching or clinical preceptor experience in an accredited respiratory care program

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical affiliates.
• Coordinate student clinical placements and schedules.
• Conduct site visits to ensure quality learning environments.
• Collaborate with clinical educators and provide preceptor training.
• Support compliance with accreditation and clinical education standards.
• Teach in classroom, lab, clinical, and/or online settings.
• Foster engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
• Evaluate student performance and provide coaching and remediation.
• Develop laboratory competencies and clinical learning activities.
• Mentor students and support career readiness.
