Job summary

Cabarrus College of Health Sciences seeks a dedicated Director of Clinical Education (DCE) to lead clinical learning experiences for the Respiratory Therapy program while ensuring compliance with CoARC accreditation standards.

This role acts as the vital link between classroom instruction and clinical practice, coordinating clinical affiliations, mentoring students, and supporting accreditation and program assessment to advance student success and patient care.

Qualifications

• RRT credential and NC license (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Master's degree or bachelor's degree with commitment to complete a master's within 2 years.
• Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience, including at least 2 years in clinical practice.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching or clinical preceptor experience in an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Clinical education leadership: develop and maintain partnerships with clinical affiliates.
• Coordinate student clinical placements and schedules; conduct site visits.
• Teach in classroom, lab, clinical, and/or online settings; evaluate student performance.
• Curriculum & program development; participate in accreditation and program assessment.
