Job summary

Cabarrus College in North Carolina seeks a Director of Clinical Education for the Respiratory Therapy program to lead clinical learning experiences and ensure CoARC compliance. This faculty role bridges classroom instruction and clinical practice, coordinating placements and maintaining quality environments.

The ideal candidate will have RRT credential, NC license, 4+ years of RT experience including 2 years in clinical practice, and 2+ years of teaching or preceptor work, with a master's degree

Qualifications

• RRT credential and NC license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Master's degree required or Bachelor's with commitment to complete a master's within 2 years.
• Minimum 4 years respiratory therapy experience, including 2 years in clinical practice.
• Minimum 2 years teaching or preceptor experience in an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Education Leadership: develop partnerships with clinical affiliates and coordinate student clinical placements.
• Teaching & Student Success: teach in multiple settings and evaluate student performance.
• Curriculum & Program Development: review learning materials and align with accreditation standards.
• Professional Service: participate in college committees and engage in professional development.
