Job summary

Baptist Health Sciences University in Memphis, TN seeks an Instructor (Masters Pending) / Director of Clinical Education for the Respiratory Care program. You will help administer program rules, coordinate clinical education, and ensure compliance with CoARC standards.

The role requires a bachelor's in respiratory care, an RRT credential and state license, plus several years of RRT experience and teaching in a CoARC-accredited program. This position reports to the Academic Dean and Program Chair.

Qualifications

• Holds a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
• RRT credential and current state license.
• Minimum four years as an RRT; at least two years in clinical respiratory care.
• Two years teaching in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as clinical instructor/preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administering program rules, regulations, and policies.
• Assess the clinical competency of Respiratory Care students.
• Collaborate with faculty on review/assessment and revision of clinical course materials.
• Demonstrate knowledge of clinical education content for a bachelor’s degree program.
• Operate under Academic Dean or Program Chair in leadership of the Respiratory Care program.
