Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in North Texas is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform ABG, PFT, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene and airway maintenance. You will work with adults and neonates under indirect supervision of the medical director, following department policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS and ACLS, NBRC registration, Texas license, and at least 6 months of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• NBRC Registered and in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• NRP and PALS must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, humidity therapy, IPPB, incentive spirometry and airway maintenance.
• Assist with cardiopulmonary diagnostics: ABG analysis, SpO2, PFTs and ECGs.
• Prepare bedside respiratory assessments and review medical records.
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment (ventilators, oxygen devices, gas analyzers).
• Support infection control, safety and quality assurance initiatives.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program

Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification

NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire
