Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for adults and neonates. You will perform ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator support under supervision, ensuring quality and safety in a busy acute care setting.

Qualifications include a Texas-licensed RCP, NBRC registration, BLS and ACLS, and NRP/PALS within 1 year of hire. Prior relevant experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosols, humidity therapy, IPPB, Incentive Spirometry and airway maintenance.
• Performs and reports prescribed cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures (ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG).
• Prepares treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and chart review.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data to guide patient care.
• Assembles, checks, and troubleshoots CP equipment and related devices.
