Capital Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to establish and manage complex mechanical ventilation with high proficiency and minimal supervision.

You will develop daily ventilator care plans, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with the patient care team to optimize outcomes. This is a full-time role with a 36-hour week and potential for advanced credentials to enhance practice.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an AMA Accredited Respiratory Therapy/Respiratory Therapist Program. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Two years clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and manages mechanical ventilation with high proficiency and minimal supervision.
• Performs weaning with high proficiency and updates the care plan daily.
• Collects specimens and validates results with high proficiency.
• Interprets diagnostic data to create sound care plans.
• Administers respiratory therapies with high proficiency and minimal supervision.
• Responds to Code Blue, RRT, Trauma and STAT events as required.
• Provides education to patients and families as appropriate.
