Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive respiratory care services across inpatient and outpatient settings. Required are an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, state licensure, and NBRC RRT certification. BLS is required; ACLS must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen therapy, diagnostics, and ventilation support for neonates to geriatrics.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and EKGs; monitor and document clinical information.
• Educate patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans; collaborate with physicians.
