Ochsner Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support across age groups from neonatal to geriatric. The RT-CRT team analyzes arterial blood gases, delivers therapy, and supports care plans under physician order and policy.

Required are an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred), current state license as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC RRT credential, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required for entry; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Current State Respiratory Therapist license and BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory therapies per policy.
• Document clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures (e.g., ABG, EKGs).
• Provide age-appropriate care and adapt to patient population.
