Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform clinical patient assessments and deliver therapies, including breathing treatments and arterial blood gases. You will manage oxygen therapy, ventilators, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds, while documenting in the EMR and adhering to care standards.

The role requires neonatal/pediatric to geriatric care knowledge, BLS certification, and an Associate (CRT) with 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required for Respiratory Therapist.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Field of Study: Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• 1+ year of experience as a certified respiratory therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform breathing treatments and arterial blood gases.
• Set up and monitor ventilators (invasive/non-invasive).
• Respond to rapid response and code blue calls.
• Document care and plan of care in EMR.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and bedside procedures.
• Manage oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy per orders.
