Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide RT-CRT therapy, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for in-patients and out-patients across age groups from neonatal to geriatric.

The role involves data entry, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and staff. A state license, RRT credential, and BLS/ACLS are required or will be pursued within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care required.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS from American Heart Association; ACLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide RT-CRT therapy, oxygen, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to patients of all ages.
• Review and document all clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and adapt care to patient age groups (neonatal to geriatric).
• Adhere to policies and procedures and assist with flexible scheduling and inter-facility coverage.
