Corewell Health's Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled team. The role involves night shifts (6:30 p.m. – 7 a.m.), 24 weekly hours, and direct patient care in respiratory therapy.

The position requires a respiratory therapy credential, state license, and NBRC CRT certification with 90 days to obtain ACLS/BLS/NRP as needed. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for external candidates and new RT students.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, or sleep medicine.
• State license: MI Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC CRT certification required at hire.
• NRP/ACLS/BLS certifications required within 90 days.
• Ideal candidate will be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in breathing support and comfort.
• Collaborate with clinical team to diagnose, monitor, and treat lung-related conditions.
• Evaluate respiratory care needs and document per policy and regulatory standards.
• Perform point-of-care testing as required and document results.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and post-discharge needs.
• Train other staff and students in respiratory care procedures.
