Job summary

Bronson LakeView Hospital in South Haven is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a part-time, 12-hour night shift with a sign-on bonus up to $12,500 and Day 1 benefits.

The RT will deliver respiratory care per physician orders, evaluate responses to therapy, and collaborate with providers and nursing staff. Requires AS degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan license, and RRT within 1 year; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS) or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials within 1 year of hire for those hired after 2004.
• Must attend courses through AHA: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP; BLS within 3 months of hire; site requirements for ACLS, PALS and NRP within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients following provider orders and department policies.
• Evaluate patient status and discuss therapy changes with providers and nurses.
• Administer, assess and titrate oxygen therapy and other respiratory therapies.
• Support patient and family education; participate in preceptor and training activities.
