Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Per Diem/PRN in Oregon, OH. Night shifts (6:00 pm – 6:30 am, 12-hour shifts) with $44 per hour and differential for nights/weekends. You must pick shifts at Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed.

The role involves evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, managing endotracheal tubes, and participating in quality improvement. Active NBRC credentials, BLS, ACLS, and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent.
• Must provide proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire for agency RT.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Oregon, OH

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN) Night (6:00 pm - 6:30 am; 12-Hour Shifts)Compensation: $44 Per Hour; Shift Differentials for nights and weekends

*This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.


• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.


• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.


• Current state licensure is required.


• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
