Job summary

Regency Hospital Company in Sylvania, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for full-time days. The role involves evaluating patients, providing respiratory care for critical and complex conditions, and supporting weaning and extubation protocols.

Shifts run 6:00am-6:30pm (12-hour days) with eligibility for weekend differentials and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Must hold NBRC CRT or RRT, BLS, and state licensure; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Requires active NBRC CRT or RRT credential (state equivalent ok).
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (PRN ACLS on hire).
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma preferred or high school transcript/diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Job description

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Location: Sylvania, OH

Schedule: Full-Time Days (6:00am - 6:30pm; 12-Hour Shifts)

Compensation: $33.34 to $45.00 Per Hour; Based on years of experience and shift differentials on weekends

Sign-on bonus: $15,000

• This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Toledo and Oregon locations, as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
