Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Southeast OH in Newark, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN/per diem shifts. You will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, and manage critical cases in a post-ICU setting. A strong orientation program and dedicated team support are offered.

Required NBRC CRT/RRT, BLS, and state licensure with ACLS on hire. This role includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a consistent PRN schedule with day shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required and ACLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Educate andCounsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: PRN / As Needed / Per Diem - 12 Hour Shifts - DaysCompensation: $45.00 per Hour

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
