Arbors at Springfield is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide ventilator management, assessments, and therapies in a skilled nursing setting. You will work with a collaborative team to support residents requiring respiratory care and to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT credentials; graduate of AMA-approved respiratory program
• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (state of Ohio)
• Valid CPR certification
• Vent certification preferred
• One year of experience preferred; long-term care experience a bonus
• New grads encouraged to apply—mentorship available

Responsibilities

• Conduct respiratory assessments, oxygen therapy evaluations, and pulse oximetry monitoring
• Manage ventilator patients, perform vent checks, support weaning/decannulation
• Perform respiratory treatments (nebs, CPAP/BiPAP, airway clearance)
• Document assessments, consults, and care plans accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing and leadership
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly maintained and compliant
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
• Educate facility staff with in-services and clinical guidance

A Day in the Life as an RT
