Garden Springs Healthcare is seeking licensed Respiratory Therapists to join our clinical teams at skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout Ohio. This full-time, in-person position offers the opportunity to provide respiratory care per physician orders and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care and treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, applicable standards of practice, and the therapist's professional scope of practice.
This position works closely with nursing staff, physicians, respiratory leadership, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to support residents with a variety of respiratory needs, including residents requiring complex respiratory support.
Provide respiratory therapy services in accordance with physician orders and the resident's plan of care.
Assess and monitor residents' respiratory status and response to treatment.
Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies.
Monitor and manage oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry.
Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning within scope of practice.
Provide nebulizer and other ordered aerosol treatments.
Assist with CPAP, BiPAP, AVAPS, and ventilator management when applicable to the facility and resident population.
Monitor respiratory equipment and promptly identify changes, alarms, or equipment concerns.
Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in respiratory condition and respiratory emergencies.
Communicate significant changes in condition to nursing and the appropriate practitioner.
Accurately document assessments, treatments, interventions, and resident response in the electronic medical record.
Participate in resident and family education related to respiratory care when appropriate.
Follow infection prevention, oxygen safety, emergency preparedness, and respiratory equipment procedures.
Collaborate with nursing, physicians, rehabilitation, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in required education, competency validation, and quality improvement activities.
Perform other respiratory care responsibilities consistent with professional licensure, competency, and facility services.
Required:
Current Ohio license to practice respiratory care in good standing.
Ability to perform the essential responsibilities of the position within applicable professional scope of practice.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred:
CRT or RRT credential.
Current BLS certification.
At least one year of respiratory therapy experience.
Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, post-acute care, LTACH, or another setting caring for residents with complex respiratory needs.
Experience with tracheostomy care and invasive or non-invasive ventilation.
