Job summary

We seek NBRC-credentialed grads from AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy programs who are knowledgeable about long-term care regulations, possess excellent communication skills, and are committed to improving patient outcomes through respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Credentialed by NBRC and graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care.
• Able to work flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts.
• Patient care oriented and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general respiratory therapeutic services including oxygen, medical gas, humidification and suction therapies.
• Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records.
• Communicate relevant patient/resident information to physicians and caregivers.
• Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy.
• Exhibits commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements.
• Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed.
