Job summary

The Carpenter Health Network is hiring a Full-Time Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Sage Specialty Hospital (LTAC) in Lafayette, LA. The role includes providing respiratory therapy services, maintaining patient records, and ensuring quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide general respiratory therapeutic services including oxygen, medical gas, humidification and suction therapies.
• Document patient/resident procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers.

Duties

• Provide general respiratory therapeutic services including oxygen, medical gas, humidification and suction therapies.
• Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records.
• Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers.
• Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy.
• Exhibits commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements.
• Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed.
