Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care for adults and neonates. You will perform ABG, PFT, and ventilator support under indirect supervision, following departmental policies.

Eligible candidates are licensed in Texas, NBRC-registered, with BLS/ACLS and must obtain NRP/PALS within 1 year of hire. With Magnet status and a long history of service, the 595-bed teaching hospital offers a diverse

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner; NBRC registration.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and ECGs.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation via bedside assessment, patient interview and chart review.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and takes appropriate actions.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data; integrates results into care plans.
• Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance tasks.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Uses effective patient scripting to improve satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as required.
