Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join the NICU team. The role includes two 12-hour night shifts, with some weekend/holiday requirements, in Evanston Hospital.

You will support physicians, deliver neonatal respiratory care, document treatments, and educate patients and families. The position requires an accredited RT program, Illinois licensure, and current CPR; NRP and neonatal/pediatric specialization are preferred.

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT or CRT certification is required.
• State licensure in Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Hourly Pay Range

$33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Sign on bonus: $10,000


• Position: Respiratory Therapist, RRT/CRT - ISCU (NICU)


• Location: Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL


• Part Time | 24 hours/week


• Hours: Shift varies Monday - Friday: two 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM–7 AM, with some weekend and holiday requirements.

What you will do

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures


• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures


• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment


• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians


• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner


• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients


• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need

• Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.


• License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), required.


• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.


• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.


• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), required and Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialty (RRT-NPS), preferred.


• Experience: at least 1 year of experience in a Level II NICU required. Level III NICU experience preferred.
