Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for evening, part‑time shifts at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The role supports a diverse patient population and requires flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.

You will work with physicians to administer therapies, monitor responses, document care, and provide education to patients and families in a fast‑paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by CoARC.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible.
• Illinois licensure required within 6 months of employment.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• ACLS/NRP/PALS required within 24 months of employment.
• Experience with acid-base balance and blood gas interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians with Respiratory Therapy procedures.
• Deliver respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to determine best method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and orders; transcribe orders as needed.
• Communicate treatment clearly to patients and families.
• Monitor patient response to therapy, with focus on neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign On Bonus: $5,000


• Position : Respiratory Therapist RRT - Evenings


• Location : Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL


• Part Time | 20 hours/week


• Hours : Shifts will vary Monday - Friday from 2:30pm - 11pm with every third weekend and rotating holidays, required.


• Required Travel: May float to Plainfield Emergency Center as needed.

What you will do:

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures


• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures


• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment


• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians


• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner


• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients


• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need:

• Education : Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.


• License/Certifications : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required.


• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment .


• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required .


• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment.


• Experience : Advanced knowledge of acid-base balance, blood gas analysis and interpretation, and cardiopulmonary physiology.
