Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for the NICU in Evanston, IL. Part-time, 24 hours/week with two 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM–7 AM, plus some weekend/holiday requirements.

Includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive hourly pay range. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, delivering neonatal respiratory therapy, documenting care, monitoring responses, and educating patients and families.

Competenze

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT or CRT credential required.
• Illinois licensure required.
• Current CPR certification.
• NRP and RRT-NPS preferred.
• At least 1 year in a Level II NICU; Level III preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians with Respiratory Therapy procedures.
• Provide neonatal respiratory therapy as ordered by physicians.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment and orders; transcribe verbal or phone orders.

Hourly Pay Range

$33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Sign on bonus: $10,000


• Position: Respiratory Therapist, RRT/CRT - ISCU (NICU)


• Location: Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL


• Part Time | 24 hours/week


• Hours: Shift varies Monday - Friday: two 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM–7 AM, with some weekend and holiday requirements.

What you will do

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures


• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures


• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment


• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians


• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner


• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients


• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need

• Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.


• License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), required.


• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.


• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.


• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), required and Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialty (RRT-NPS), preferred.


• Experience: at least 1 year of experience in a Level II NICU required. Level III NICU experience preferred.
