Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment in Natrona Heights, PA. This 13-week contract provides intensive patient care, ventilatory support, and collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities include administering ventilatory therapy, chest physiotherapy, monitoring oximetry, performing pulmonary studies, CPR per BLS/ACLS, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS certification.
• Experience with HamiltonC3 ventilatory equipment.
• Ability and willingness to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to deliver medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning as required.
• Monitor patients' oximetry and capnography, and review chest x-rays.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist with respiratory care procedures.
• Administer CPR as per BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Document all treatment records and communicate with attending physicians about therapy effectiveness.
• Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, including routine self-testing and preventive maintenance.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and assisting in patient transport as prescribed by a physician, all while operating within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. The therapist assesses patients and recommends appropriate treatment plans, articulating the purpose and procedures involved in treatments, tests, and equipment to patients, and offering educational support upon discharge.

Responsibilities

• Conducting physician-prescribed treatments using ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to deliver medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experience with ventilatory equipment, specifically HamiltonC3.
• Ability and willingness to work independently.
