ARMStaffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver quality patient care, perform ventilatory support, and supervise transport in accordance with prescriptions. You will evaluate patients, discuss treatment plans, and educate before discharge.

The role includes night 3x12 shift, 13-week contract, patient assessments, airway management, arterial punctures, CPR per BLS/ACLS, and collaboration with clinical staff. ARMStaffing provides benefits and relocation assistance as described.

• Conduct physician-prescribed routine treatments using various ventilatory and aerosol equipment.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods as required.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography per policy guidelines.
• Review patient chest x-rays to determine the need for further evaluation.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist with respiratory care-related procedures.
• Perform arterial punctures and manage tracheostomy care according to policy.
• Record and communicate all pertinent information regarding patient treatments and responses.
• Follow all lab testing policies, ensuring quality control and proper specimen handling.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and report any necessary repairs.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport in accordance with medical prescriptions, operating within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. The therapist evaluates patients and recommends treatment plans, explains the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients, and provides necessary education upon discharge.
