Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for night shifts in Mishawaka, IN. This part-time PRN role requires at least 24 hours per month across two 12-hour night shifts (1830-0700) and one fall/winter holiday per year.

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC.
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems.
• Operates oxygen and other therapeutic gas delivery systems and related equipment.
• Documents therapy data in patient records and maintains equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems. Arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and aerosolized, meter dosed, or powdered medications to patients. Operates various mechanical devices that aid in the recovery of patients. Cleans and checks equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient records.

What You'll Need:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred
