Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, day shift position at our Mishawaka facility. The role involves providing respiratory therapy to stabilize and treat patients, operating oxygen and related therapies, and documenting care in patient records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program.
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist licensure.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC.
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems; Operates oxygen and other therapeutic modalities; Monitors and records therapy data in patient records.

What you'll do:

• Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems. Arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and aerosolized, meter dosed, or powdered medications to patients. Operates various mechanical devices that aid in the recovery of patients. Cleans and checks equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient records.

What you'll need:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred
