Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to manage respiratory care, initiate and adjust mechanical ventilation, and provide education to staff and patients. The role emphasizes clinical excellence and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The candidate will support staff with training, contribute to patient safety, and participate in diagnostic procedures as needed. A strong focus on quality care and adherence to policies is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital experience as RRT.
• RRT certification required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recommend changes in respiratory care plans based on data.
• Instruct and coach patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation with frequent reevaluation.
• Assist with cardiopulmonary diagnostics and staff training.
• Ensure patient progress through therapist assessments.
