Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team in Florida. The role involves delivering respiratory care, managing ventilators, administering medications, and supporting bedside assessments for diverse patient populations.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, document care in the EMR, and participate in rounds to ensure optimal patient outcomes. NBRC credentials and state licensure are required or in process, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Proficient in patient assessment and care planning.
• Infection control and safety compliance.
• Ability to operate and adjust invasive/non-invasive ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Lead night shift operations and assign staff; answer technical questions.
• Perform respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders; monitor patient response.
• Set up and adjust ventilators; manage aerosolized therapies and oxygen delivery.
• Draw and report arterial blood gases; maintain documentation in EMR.
• Respond to rapid response and code blue situations; perform CPR as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
