Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will hold a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy and be licensed as an RRT or CRT in the state of practice, with the ability to evaluate and treat independently and provide functional therapeutic activities for geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments.
• Deliver in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and policies; track and manage caseload.
