Job summary

Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist Float. The role involves floating between Geisinger Medical Center Danville, Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital and Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, with both day and night shifts available.

Eligible applicants can receive up to $7,500 relocation assistance. You will perform assessments, manage respiratory therapies, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care across multiple

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related respiratory care experience.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist and NBRC registered.
• Ability to float among multiple Geisinger hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Develop and execute care plans for respiratory support.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care.
• Administer and monitor aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and airway care.
• Operate conventional and high-frequency ventilators per protocol.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and therapy.
