Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to provide float coverage across Geisinger facilities, with a minimum starting rate and premium potential based on experience. The role includes rotating shifts and relocation assistance for eligible applicants.

The therapist will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and adjust care plans, manage aerosolized medications and ventilation, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Thorough patient assessments and documentation.
• Establishes care plans.
• Communicates with the patient care team.
• Performs and documents routine therapies including aerosols and oxygen.
• Initiates and manages mechanical ventilation per protocol.
• Provides patient/family education on disease management.
• Assists in intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients.
• Adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
