Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Louisiana is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to provide RT-CRT services for in-patients and out-patients across age ranges from neonatal to geriatric.

You will perform routine and advanced respiratory care, analyze ABGs, operate ventilation support equipment, and educate patients and staff on treatment plans in accordance with established policies and procedures. ACLS/BLS completion required within specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information regarding each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care based on patient age and clinical criteria.
• Adapts communication and care to patient population.
