Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Louisiana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients from neonatal to geriatric ages. You will perform procedures, monitor therapies, and report results under physician orders.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree, a state license, and NBRC RRT certification. BLS required; ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice; NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory care procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
