Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT-CRT) to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will perform advanced therapies, document clinical information, educate patients and staff, and work within established policies; a current state license, NBRC CRT, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and an Associate's degree are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in-state
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
• BLS; ACLS obtained within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory therapies per policy.
• Reviews and documents patient clinical information.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and analyzes ABGs.
• Adapts care to patient age and population, ensuring privacy and informed consent.
