Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver direct patient care across respiratory therapies according to physician orders. The role requires current RCP licensure, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT), and a CoARC-approved respiratory care program graduate.

PALS is required for ER staff; ACLS is preferred. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff and handle assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC).
• PALS required for ER staff.
• Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
