Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-centered respiratory care as part of the Respiratory Care Services at Winter Haven Hospital.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers dayshift hours (6:30 AM–7:00 PM), every-other weekend, on-call none, and a robust benefits package including sign-on and relocation bonuses, health/dental/vision, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) match, and merit awards.

Qualifications

• Certifications: RRT, NBRC credential, CPR, NRP (6 months to obtain), ACLS (within 6 months), PALS preferred.
• Education: technical/associate respiratory therapy degree.
• Experience: minimum 6 months in respiratory care.
• Skills: NICU and pediatrics experience; teamwork and critical thinking.
• Computer skills applicable to clinical care and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician orders and protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures as required.
• Performs diagnostic testing and emergency/critical care support.

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred

Experience Required:

• 6 Months Respiratory

Specific Skills Required:

• NICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.
