Job summary

BayCare Alliant Hospital in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-focused respiratory care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an RRT license, NBRC credential, CPR, and NRP within 6 months; PALS is preferred. Offered are a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, tuition reimbursement, 401k with match, and annual merit bonuses. On-site, full-time with day shifts and alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• RRT licensure required.
• Active NBRC credential for RRT.
• CPR certification required.
• NRP within 6 months.
• PALS - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACL (Cardiovascular)
• PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred

Experience Required:

• 6 Months Respiratory
