Job Summary and Qualifications

• Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory therapy needs and responses.
• Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airway placement. Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient responses, notify providers, and intervene as needed.
• Assist in transporting ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergencies, ensuring airway and ventilation during resuscitation.

Qualifications Needed

• Certification as a State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist
• CRTT, LCRT, RRT, or RCP licensure
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), with instructor certification within 30 days of employment.
