Job Summary and Qualifications

• Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway patency.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory needs and responses.
• Administer therapies like oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airway placement and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient responses and notify providers of any issues.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergencies, ensuring airway and ventilation during resuscitation.

Qualifications

• State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• CRTT, LCRT, or RRT/RCP certification/license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, with instructor qualification within 30 days of employment.
