Job Summary and Qualifications

• Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, cuff pressure.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory needs and response.
• Administer therapies like oxygen, aerosol meds, chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airway placement, initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor therapeutic response, notify providers, intervene as needed.
• Assist in transporting ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain airway and ventilation during resuscitation.

Qualifications Needed

• Certificate in Respiratory Therapy
• State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRTT, LCRT, RRT/RCP)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), instructor certification within 30 days.
