Ochsner Health System Careers seeks a Respiratory Therapist to deliver RT-CRT care, oxygen services, diagnostics and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric. You’ll draw and report ABGs, manage therapy, and support patient safety. This role requires clinical expertise and collaboration with physicians.

Required: Associate's Degree; state license as Respiratory Therapist; NBRC RRT; BLS; ACLS within 90 days. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS certification; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Review and document clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and arterial blood gas analyses.
• Provide care tailored to patient age and needs; adapt communication accordingly.
