Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice; NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Delivers care appropriate to the patient’s age and adapts explanation to patient population.
